Jim Schug Trail - Dryden
We will walk the Jim Schug Trail from Dryden Lake to Purvis Road and back, about 3.5 miles total. About 90 minutes if you do the entire length.
You do have the option of turning around at any point and returning to the cars parked at Dryden Lake Park.
Not sure how much snow cover will be on the trail. Make sure to wear winter boots with good traction in case it is icy.
After the hike, for those who want to, we will stop at Dunkin Donuts in Dryden for a hot beverage/snack.
Tuesday, February 3 @ 1 pm
We will meet in the far parking area of Dryden Lake Park (closest to the trail).
Please sign up below and let me know where we will meet you (Park or Applebees), if you are planning to go to Dunkin Donuts, and if carpooling are you willing to drive others.
It is currently predicted to be a balmy 29 degrees, cloudy, with winds around 7 mph.
The Jim Schug Trail is wide and flat. It may be snow covered and possibly icy in sections so bring hiking poles and boots with good traction.
We will meet at the south end of Applebees in Cortland and will leave at 12:40 pm.
Backpack, water (yes, you can dehydrated in winter), hiking poles, and money for Dunkin Donuts.
