Upcoming Ambler Hike

CANCELLED - To Be Rescheduled

Selkirk Shores State Park - Pulaski

This is a park that is situated along Lake Ontario in Oswego County. It is a popular beach, boating and camping park but does have about 5 miles of hiking trails.

I have never been here so we can explore together. I would like to do a loop that includes the Lakeshore Trail and the Pine Grove Trail which heads through the woods. It should be about 2.7 - 3 miles.

The trails are listed as easy with very little elevation gain though we will probably need to navigate tree roots, rocks, etc. You will have sweeping views of Lake Ontario and may head through some marshy areas.

After the hike we will head to the Lakeside Restaurant for lunch which is about 3 minutes from the park.

When and Where

We will meet in the large parking lot at the South end of the park nearest to Lake Ontario.

There is a $7 per car entrance fee to the park but we should be able to scan in our licenses and get in for free.

When signing up below please let me know where we will meet you, if you are carpooling let me know if you are willing to drive others, and if you are planning to go to lunch.

Please sign up by Wednesday at Noon so I can call the restaurant to give them a heads up for our group.

I will post who is coming on Wednesday around Noon. If you signed up but don't see your name, then try again and remember to hit Send. You should get a response.

We will leave from the parking area across from P&C Fresh in Riverside Plaza. Look for us nearest to the river.

Hopefully we should be back in Cortland no later than 3 pm.

If not driving I would recommend that you each give at least $5 to your driver to help defray fuel costs.
