We are a group of women in Central New York who want to explore the outdoors, desire community and friendship, and want to keep active through hiking. We find we are inspired by each other, strengthen by our accomplishments, and united by our love for the beauty right where we live!
We hike all over the Central New York area. The majority of our members are in the Cortland, NY area. So for most hikes we meet at area parking lots and travel to our destination. Carpooling to the trail head helps us to travel together and be sensitive to our carbon footprint. We have hiked in Cortland, Tompkins, Onondaga, Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Schuyler, and Madison counties in all seasons of the year. We have hiked on the Finger Lakes Trails (FLT). North Country Trails (NCT), NY State Parks, County Parks, and off the beaten path.
Most often we are day hiking. There are two hiking options. The Ambler Hikes are considered easy in level of difficulty and usually a flatter walking surface. The Scrambler Hikes are moderate to difficult and might include hill climbing and stairs. The hikes are described in detail regarding weather conditions, trail conditions, and ability level. Our goal is to share adventures and camaraderie, learn new skills, develop confidence, and to gain new insights and experiences.
If you are interested in hiking with us, you will find more information on the Ambler Hike page and the Scrambler Hike page. There you will find details about the location of the next hike, trail conditions, times, and more.
Do you have a question about one of our hikes? Would you like to know how you can join us? Send us a message, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
